Flat letters, built-up letters and lit letters
Flat acrylic letters are cut from sheet and studded off the wall by a few millimetres. Built-up letters have a return, so the name has thickness you can see from the side. Lit letters carry LEDs in the return or behind the face, which is what most people mean by a 3D acrylic LED letter.
We cut the letters from your spelling, including the exact caps and the logo mark. A wordmark that is only a font on a phone is enough to start. A vector file is better if you have one.
Outdoor letters need a return and a finish that can take rain. Indoor reception letters can be thinner and can sit on a painted or timber wall. Tell us which of those it is before we price the thickness.
What to measure
Price follows the letter height and the number of letters, not a vague 'name board' line. A 300 mm letter and a 600 mm letter are different jobs. Measure the wall width too, so the full name fits without crashing into a column.
Stainless steel letters are a different finish for the same kind of wall. If you want metal, say so in the form and we will quote that instead of acrylic.
What is included
- Flat, built-up and LED acrylic letters
- Logo marks cut with the name
- Stud fixings for plaster, ACP, glass and stone
- Letter height quoted in the unit you choose
What to measure
Decide the letter height first, then the length of the whole name. A useful check is to tape that length on the wall. If the tape crosses a window mullion or a downpipe, we adjust the height before cutting.
